Vitamix Explorian Series
The entry point into Vitamix — E310 to E520
The first proper high-performance blender is never the most expensive one, but the one that can do exactly as much as you need in your first year — without functions you'd have to look up in the manual. The Explorian series has the same motor generation as the Pro Series, reduced to what you'll use daily: manual control via dial, and on the larger models, additional programs for smoothies, hot soups and frozen desserts.
Here you'll find everything that belongs to a Vitamix Explorian: the four blenders E310, E320, E510 and E520, the three Classic containers from 1.4 to 2.0 litres, the matching tampers in three lengths, the Tamper Manager, the spatula and the Personal Cup Adapter for on the go. All Explorian models use the Classic-Mount system and are compatible with Vitamix Legacy; Interlock containers from the Ascent Interlock series don't fit.
A five- or seven-year manufacturer's warranty for household use, depending on the model; your statutory rights remain unaffected (warranty terms).
The most common comparison isn't E310 vs E320, but across the range: E310 vs E510 and E320 vs E520 — same size, once with and once without programs. If you're even further back in the decision, start with the three-step decision path.
