• How do I clean the container?

  Rinse with lukewarm water immediately after use. For thick or oily preparations: fill halfway with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, blend for 30–60 seconds on high speed (or use the blender's Self-Clean program), empty, and rinse. The container and Tritan lid are dishwasher-safe — hand-washing is gentler on the surface and the better choice.
• Which blenders is the container compatible with?

  The stainless steel container fits all Vitamix blenders with the Classic Mount system — including the Explorian series (E310, E320, E510, E520) and the Pro 750 — as well as the upcoming Ascent X. On the Ascent X, SELF-DETECT recognises the container and adjusts the programs to the container size. Not compatible with the current Ascent series (A2500i/A3500i), as these use an interlock system.
• Does the outside of the container get hot?

  Yes — stainless steel conducts temperature, unlike plastic. With hot preparations the outer wall can become hot; with frozen ingredients it can become very cold. Hold the container by the handle and use an oven mitt or silicone pad when emptying it if needed. For hot ingredients (from approx. 38 °C), fill no more than around 0.5 litres, start on a low speed, and never fill the container to the brim.
• Can I grind dry herbs and spices in it?

  The stainless steel container is not designed for dry-grinding herbs and spices: it can leave fine scratches and discolouration and cause premature blade wear — such cosmetic marks and the resulting wear are excluded from the manufacturer's warranty. For wet preparations such as smoothies, hot soups, dips, and frozen desserts, it is fully suitable.
