Vitamix Tamper (long)

The long tamper for the 2.0 L Classic container – for guiding thick ingredients back into place while blending.

At 34 cm in height, the Classic container is the larger of the Classic system containers. So that you can reach the blade even when it's full, the long tamper is sized accordingly — without it, thick preparations like nut butter, hummus, or nice cream eventually get stuck at the edge. With the tamper, you guide ingredients back to the blade without touching it while blending.

The long tamper belongs to the 2.0 L Classic container from the legacy series. Other containers each have their own length: the medium tamper at approx. 28 cm for the 2.0 L low-profile Classic container, the S2 tamper at approx. 28 cm for all Interlock containers in the Ascent series, and the short tamper at approx. 25 cm for the 0.9 L dry container from the legacy series as well as the 1.4 L Classic container. Hand-washing is recommended for cleaning. While blending, insert the tamper through the lid opening and push the mixture down from the container walls — that way your hands stay outside the container.
