The Dry Grains container for the Ascent series — for dry ingredients and doughs.

The blade set is built for hard, dry ingredients: freshly milled whole-grain flour from wheat, oats, or rice; coarse or fine ground coffee; ground spices; powdered sugar from granulated sugar. The specifically shaped blades also handle bread dough — add flour, water, and yeast, and the blender simulates kneading and delivers fully worked dough ready to bake.

The Ascent recognizes a Dry Grains container when set in place and adjusts the program runtime accordingly. Measuring scale on the container (ml and cup), drip-free pouring spout for clean emptying. To clean, a drop of dish soap with warm water and a short blending pass is all it takes — clean in 30 to 60 seconds.

  • How do I care for the container?
    Tap out dry residue after grinding and remove it with a dry brush or pastry brush. For stubborn oily residue (after nuts or coffee beans, for example) rinse briefly with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. The Interlock Dry Grains container is dishwasher-safe on the top rack — hand-washing extends the lifespan and is always the better choice. The container must be completely dry before the next use.
  • What is it for and which blenders?
    The Dry Grains container is equipped with dry blades and built for dry ingredients: grains, coffee, spices, nuts, seeds. It fits all Ascent blenders with Interlock system (A2300i, A2500i and A3500i). The NFC chip in the base activates the matching programs via SELF-DETECT.
  • What is the difference between the Vitamix Dry Grains container Interlock and the 1.4 L Interlock container?
    Both containers have the same volume (1.4 L), the same external dimensions, and the same Interlock system with SELF-DETECT. The difference is the blade assembly: the Dry Grains container uses dry blades designed for grinding grains, coffee, and spices into fine powder. The 1.4 L Interlock container uses wet blades for blending liquids, smoothies, and purées. Using the wrong blade assembly for the intended purpose reduces results and increases wear.
