Vitamix X Containers

The container system of the Ascent X series

The X containers belong to the Ascent X series and fit the X2 and X5. Unlike the Interlock containers of the Ascent Interlock series, they're additionally compatible with the Classic-Mount — they therefore also fit all Explorian models E310 to E520, the Pro 750 and Vitamix Legacy machines.

The fit only works in one direction. An X container runs on a Classic motor — a Classic container does not run on an X. It will physically sit on it, but the X base detects its container electronically; a Classic container doesn't send this signal, and the machine won't start. So if you switch from an Explorian to an Ascent X, you don't keep your old containers.

Five versions cover the whole range: the 1.4 L for small to medium quantities, the same in brushed stainless steel, the 2.0 L Low-Profile (2 litres) for family-sized portions, the dry grains container for grains, coffee beans and spices, and the Aer Disc container, which works with a disc instead of blending blades — for cold foam, vinaigrettes and cocktails.

Separately purchased containers carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty for household use; your statutory rights remain unaffected (warranty terms).
