How you operate it

Three controls in a clear layout: the speed dial in the middle sets speed and program selection, the Pulse toggle switch on the left delivers short bursts, and the start/stop switch on the right starts blending. The LCD display counts along with you — how long you've been blending, or how much time the active program has left. The three program settings take the decision off your hands once they're running. And because a real on/off switch sits behind it, the blender goes to sleep when you want it to — not when a microchip decides. Either way, it only starts once it detects a container with the lid fitted.

The wide 2.0 L Interlock container holds quantities for 2–4 servings, so you can prepare smoothies for the whole family or a batch for meal prep in one go. The vortex forms cleanly from 500 ml of liquid; for ice cream and nice cream, you need 800 ml so the tamper reaches deep enough into the ingredients. The long blades and wide base create a strong vortex that pulls ingredients from the edge of the container back toward the centre of the blades — so the fibres in leafy greens like kale or spinach are chopped so finely you won't notice them. Unlike with a juicer, they stay in the drink. An NFC chip sits in the base: as soon as you place the container, the blender recognises which model it is and adjusts the program duration accordingly.
