The long tamper for the 2-liter Classic container.

At 34 cm tall, the Classic container is the larger of the Classic-system containers. So you can reach the blade even when it's fully filled, the long tamper is sized accordingly — without it, thick blends like nut butter, hummus, or nice cream tend to stick to the wall. With the tamper, you push the ingredients back toward the blade on purpose without ever touching it while blending.

    The long tamper is matched to the 2.0 L Classic container (34 cm height) — at full fill, it reaches down to the blades. You need it if you use the 2.0 L Classic — this container is compatible with all Explorian blenders (E310, E320, E510, E520) and the Pro 750.
  • What is the length of the Vitamix long tamper?
    The Vitamix long tamper is approximately 31 cm long and is designed for the 2.0 L Classic tall container (Legacy series) — compatible with Explorian and Pro series blenders. It is not suitable for Low-Profile containers; for those, use the short tamper (approx. 25 cm) or the medium tamper (approx. 28 cm).
